2008 Gulf Coast Scratch Tour
Membership Information

The 18th season of the Gulf Coast Scratch Tour tees off Jan. 26-27, 2008, at Marcus Pointe Golf Club in Pensacola, Fla.
The Marcus Pointe event is the first of 16 regular-season tournaments that includes two outstanding new venues.
On the weekend of July 19-20, the Tour will make its first visit ever to the fabulous Grand Bear Golf Club in Saucier, Miss. Grand Bear was designed by Jack Nicklaus and opened in 1999 and is part of the Harrah's Casino enterprise.

On the weekend of Sept, 13-14, the tour goes east to Dothan, Ala., for an event at Highland Oaks, home of the Nationwide Tour Championship and part of the Robert Trent Jones Golf Trail in Alabama.

The remainder of the schedule has been upgraded as well with two events scheduled for both Marcus Pointe and the Country Club of Brewton, two of the players' favorite courses.

The amateurs-only tour is a competition-oriented series. Players earn points based on their finish in each event. There are no flights, no throws, no red-tee busters, no windmills, just golf. A limited number of gift certificates are awarded at each event and is based on the number of entries in an effort to keep the cost of each event to a minimum.
Points earned in each event determine exemptions into the season-ending tour championship (The Pensacola Masters) and also berths on the tour's Challenge Match team, which plays a team from the Emerald Coast Senior Scratch Series in a Ryder Cup-like competition in the fall.
The annual membership dues are $120. Tournament entry fees are $95-$150 and include golf and cart fees for two days. Practice round and range ball prices vary from event to event, but Tour members frequently receive discounted greens fees for practice rounds prior to an event.
To join the Gulf Coast Scratch Tour, send membership dues of $120 in check (made payable to H. J. Ingram Jr.) or money order along with the following form. Please take note of the new mailing address, as we are no longer using the Post Office box we've had for several years.

After you mail your membership form and dues, please send an e-mail to jringram@southerngolf.com letting us know your membership form has been mailed. Once we receive the membership application, you will receive an e-mail confirmation and additional information about the tour.
